That is one hell of a starting point. I don't think I've ever seen one so clean not since the 90s anyway. We have what is called the Merkur over here which is exactly the same thing as the Sierra cosworth turbocharged but a Ford ohv cylinder head. The nice thing is that performance parts are everything thanks to Europa and especially Brittania. They are dirt cheap.

Ho avviato la macchina senza controllare che la marcia fosse in marcia e ho quasi guidato attraverso la porta del garage 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂😂😂 Come la tua famiglia, anche la mia era dei grandi fan di Blue Oval ... mio padre aveva una Mk1 Escort che lui poi passò in giro i suoi fratelli. Viene ancora utilizzato dal fratello più giovane in Sri Lanka. Mio padre ha anche posseduto una Mk1 e Mk2 Sierra, Sierra Cosworth 4x4 senza "coda di balena", Sierra Saphire Cosworth, Mk1 e Mk2 Mondeo e Ford Escort (Mk6) di ultima generazione. Ahhh the car I learn’t to drive in 😍😍😍. My first ever lesson was clutch control. I started the car without checking the car was in gear and almost drove through the garage door 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂😂😂 Like your family, mine too were big Blue Oval fans....my Father had a Mk1 Escort which he then passed around his brothers. It’s still being used by his youngest brother in Sri Lanka. My father has also owned a Mk1 and Mk2 Sierra, Sierra Cosworth 4x4 without the ‘whale tail’ , Sierra Saphire Cosworth, Mk1 and Mk2 Mondeo and the last generation Ford Escort (Mk6)

What beautifull engine, you could remove the hood for good;) regarding the botton of the engine, (camshaft etc) , It doesn't need to be strenghted? Davide, please take some advice from an ex Sapphire Cosworth owner. Please put strut braces and a cage in the car. The shell flexes a lot when you start to up the power and drive them hard. The Ford Sierra is also notoriously bad if you have an accident.

I'm a grown man and the passion of his first ride in a cosworth has me in tears. I bought my first 3 door cosworth when I was 19yrs old. I had no licence and could not drive. I saved and wanted one so bad. Got my mam and dad to drive me around in it. Sold it Bought my second 3 door few years later black D72 NTX. Had that car for years , my daily. Spent £150 on fuel in first day. Sold it as had no garage or money. £3500! I would have died with that car if I'd had a garage. Years after that I got a whit escort cosworth M444 BHP. And the sense of achievement i felt was something else. People thought I was mad spending 14k on a old escort. Then I got a family and sold it for new house. Just before prices when mental . They have a special place in my soul, they take me back to a child hood reading max power, fast ford. My first drive , the sound of the dump valve. It sucking air through its k&n then dumping through a dump valve, it always felt alive. I miss my 2 loves every day. Thank you for this vid
